Legally Blonde - The Musical is "ridiculously enjoyable from start to finish and camp peroxide-perfection in terms of its showbiz roots," says Paul Taylor of London's The Independent.

Your first chance to experience Legally Blonde - The Musical in the State of Wisconsin will be with the Everest Academy for the Arts. This is the first amateur licensed presentation in the state.

Everest Academy for the Arts' mission is to enrich the creative spirit of participants and the community by providing exciting educational experiences in a full range of performing arts to students and adults in the D.C. Everest community and all of Central Wisconsin.

Our goal is to enhance local summer theater experiences and offerings. Each summer the Academy will put on an open audition musical theater production at the DC Everest Senior High auditorium and run camps and workshops in various aspects of the performing arts. Talented, organized and experienced area directors will run the performances and camps, mentoring volunteers and students alike.

All rehearsals and performances will be held at D.C. Everest facilities. While the Academy will utilize D.C. Everest district classroom, rehearsal, and performance space, we are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and are separate from the school district.

Everest Academy for the Arts is a Wisconsin non-profit corporation. We have a volunteer board of directors and rely on volunteers to help organize and hold our various programs. The Academy is also all of the performers, adults and students who will be able to participate in Academy camps and productions, and the Central Wisconsin community that supports the organization and will get to watch the performances.

The fact that we’re the Everest Academy for the Arts is a reflection of where we will be holding our programs and productions. Participation is not limited to residents in DC Everest School District and is open to the whole area.

We believe we have a unique opportunity to really do some amazing things in the performing arts. We have great facilities for performances, rehearsals, and camps. We have access to great directors, staff and volunteers. We can provide an opportunity for people who’ve wanted to perform on the Everest stages and to work with other directors, where they might otherwise not have the chance. During the summer months we can provide an opportunity for college students to perform or assist with productions.

In order to be successful and fulfill our mission, the Academy relies on the support of community. We’re going to need volunteers to assist with programs and we want as many people as possible to participate in Academy camps and workshops, try-out for academy productions, and attend Academy performances. We also need the financial support of individuals and businesses to ensure quality programs and continuing success. What are the benefits to me?
